KLOPP AND LIVERPOOL PLAYERS ARRIVE SWITZERLAND AHEAD OF EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL

Liverpool football club players and crew arrived the country ahead of the Europa League final slated for Wednesday against Spanish side, Sevilla in Basle.

The team arrived Switzerland on Monday ahead of the hugely anticipated Wednesday game. A European trophy and a place in next season's Champions League are up for grabs for the Reds, as they did not make top four in the Premier League.

Klopp, who has taken Liverpool to two cup finals during his first seven months in charge at Anfield, and his players were greeted at the club's training ground by excited supporters ahead earlier in the day before the team left for Switzerland to begin their final preparations. They played in the finals of the League One cup where they eventually lost to Manchester City.

The team arrived in Basle on Monday evening and will be put through their final paces during a training session on Tuesday. Klopp will also fulfil his media duties ahead of the match. Earlier in the day, Liverpool's German manager was pictured signing autographs for fans. Henderson, who is unlikely to play a starting role against Sevilla on Wednesday night, came off the bench in the final Barclays Premier League game of the season against West Brom on Sunday after almost six weeks out with a knee injury.

The Reds are bidding to win their ninth European trophy on Wednesday night and stop their Spanish opponents earning a third consecutive Europa League title at St Jakob-Park. It is the first time the Merseysiders have reached a European final since their 2-1 defeat by AC Milan in the 2007 Champions League final in Athens. The Serie A giants gained revenge for their infamous loss to The Reds in the 2005 showpiece where, after coming back from 3-0 down. Liverpool are the favourites to lift the title on Wednesday.
