WOLVES EYEING SEFEROVIC TRANSFER – REPORT

Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a move for Switzerland international HarisSeferovic during this summer's transfer window as revealed by the various media reports. The specific report from Portuguese media outlet Correio da Manha said Wolves want to sign the 30-year-old Switzerland striker as he's set to leave Benfica in the Portuguese top flight.

Benfica have already lost the services of Uruguayan star Darwin Nunez to Liverpool in the Premier League and his former teammate Seferovic could follow him to the English top flight with Wolves keen on his signature. Benfica could be bidding farewell to Switzerland international Seferovic this summer as well to add to the aforementioned Nunez.
The report from Correio da Manha was propelled by the picture of Seferovic and Wolves manager Bruno Lage at a hotel.

The pair met just before the UEFA Nations League clash between hosts Switzerland and Portugal. Seferovic was able to make his mark on his game at Stade de Geneve. It took just 57 seconds for him to score the first and only goal of the game. Seferovic was responsible for the winner as Switzerland stun Portugal 1-0 at home for their first win in 2022. It was also the first defeat for Portugal in 2022 as they lost top spot to Spain in Group A2 of the Nations League as a result. The win was the first recorded by the Swiss in the group at the fourth time of asking.
Wolves are keen to sign a new striker this summer after they struggled in the final third last season and Seferovic could be the man for the job at the age of 30. The Switzerland player was restricted to just 15 games for Benfica last season, but he has a very good record for his team altogether. He has an attacking return of 74 goals and 26 assists in 188 appearances.
